Not easy treated but worth doing if ever you suffer from it. You dont want to let it get worse, believe me. It was in both of my big toes, and it caused them to curl under on both sides, pretty painful. So first I would file the top of the toe nail where it bulged in the middle, down to a thin layer, then I soaked my feet in warm/hot vinegar water several times a week, and used over the counter nail fungus stuff. It worked. My nails are actually long now and not longer causing me any pain and the discolor is totally gone. Ok, this is what I did and it worked for me.
