It is better to prevent the fingernail fungus than curing it. Take care while cutting or trimming the nail for not injuring the skin underneath. This may pave the way for fungus infection. Avoid nail biting because the protective cover of the fingernail may get damaged thus allowing the fungus to enter.

One needs to keep the finger dry. If required drying powders can be applied. One must wash the hand frequently and should wipe the hand immediately to avoid any contamination. it better to use the gloves while undertaking the gardening, cleaning the house etc. this just to avoid the damage to the finger and to keep the finger away from contaminated soil, contaminated decaying vegetation etc.
